2025 Perth Mint Wedge-Tailed Eagle Silver Coin - 1oz

This coin marks the tenth design of the wedge-tailed eagle by acclaimed American coin sculptor John M. Mercanti, the 12th Chief Engraver of the US Mint.

With an impressive wingspan of up to 2.5 metres, this majestic bird of prey soars effortlessly over mainland Australia and Tasmania. Renowned for its relentless soaring at high altitudes and exceptional hunting abilities, the wedge-tailed eagle is easily recognizable by its distinctive, wedge-shaped tail—setting it apart from other raptors.

The design features a striking image of the eagle with its wings outstretched, poised for flight. Alongside the depiction, you'll find the inscription ‘AUSTRALIAN WEDGE-TAILED EAGLE,’ The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, and details of the coin’s weight, purity, and the 2025 year-date.

On the obverse, the coin showcases the effigy of His Majesty King Charles III by artist Dan Thorne, along with the coin's denomination.

Additionally, the reverse includes a micro-laser engraved authentication feature, visible only under magnification.
