This coin from the Australian Lunar Series III – 2025 Year of the Snake is expertly crafted from 5oz of 99.99% pure silver and honors the sixth animal in the lunar zodiac.

According to tradition, each lunar zodiac animal imparts its unique traits to those born under its sign. As the sixth symbol in the 12-year cycle, the snake is believed to bestow wisdom, intelligence, independence, and charm upon those born in 2025, 2013, 2001, 1989, 1977, and every twelfth year before.

The reverse side of the coin features a coiled snake on the ground with hanging leaves above. The design also includes the Chinese character for ‘snake,’ the inscription ‘SNAKE 2025,’ and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.

On the obverse, the coin displays the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, along with the coin’s weight, fineness, and monetary denomination.

Additionally, the reverse side incorporates a security feature: a micro-engraved letter within the design. This detail, visible only under magnification, enhances the coin’s resistance to counterfeiting.
