2026 Perth Mint Wedge Tailed Eagle Silver Coin - 1oz

Boasting a wingspan of up to 2.8 metres, it glides effortlessly on thermal currents, often soaring above 2,000 metres. Its distinctive wedge-shaped tail and fully feathered legs make it instantly recognisable as it surveys the land below. Found throughout mainland Australia and Tasmania, this majestic raptor embodies freedom, strength, and endurance in the Australian skies.

The reverse of the coin showcases a detailed portrayal of a wedge-tailed eagle’s head in the foreground, with a bald eagle positioned behind it. Both birds are depicted gazing to the right. The design is complemented by the inscription ‘AUSTRALIAN WEDGE-TAILED EAGLE’, along with The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, and details of the coin’s weight, purity, and 2026 year-date.

For added security, the coin features a micro-laser engraved letter as an authentication element. Visible only under magnification, this advanced feature helps protect against counterfeiting and provides additional assurance of authenticity.
