The Royal Tudor Beasts 2026 Royal Dragon 2oz Silver Bullion Coin is the ninth release in The Royal Mint’s prestigious Royal Tudor Beasts collection. Struck from 2 troy ounces of 999.9 fine silver, the coin combines substantial precious metal content with a striking design inspired by the historic royal beasts of Hampton Court Palace.

The Royal Tudor Beasts series takes inspiration from the ten stone statues that stand along the Moat Bridge at Hampton Court Palace. These imposing guardians represent the ancestry and union of King Henry VIII and his third wife, Jane Seymour, with each release bringing one of these historic royal symbols to life in precious metal.

The coin’s reverse features the Royal Dragon, an enduring symbol of power, courage and national identity. Designed by David Lawrence, the contemporary interpretation captures the strength and imposing character of the legendary Celtic beast while retaining the historical influence of the Tudor period. The background incorporates intricate surface animation, enhancing the visual detail of the design while providing an additional security feature.

The obverse features the official coinage portrait of His Majesty King Charles III, designed by Martin Jennings, together with the coin’s £5 monetary denomination.
