Meticulously crafted from 1 kilo of 99.99% pure silver, this coin is part of the renowned Australian Lunar Series. Annual 1 kilo Australian Lunar silver bullion coins portray in sequence the 12 animals of the ancient lunar calendar which in 2022 is represented by the tiger.
The strengths of the 12 animals of the lunar calendar are said to be evident in those born during their rule. Determination, courage, confidence and charm are among the powerful characteristics that the tiger reputedly bestows on those born under its influence in 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010 and 2022.
Honouring the lunar calendar’s third animal representative, this 2022 silver bullion coin portrays a tiger cub following its proud and protective parent across a rocky terrain. As well as the inscription ‘TIGER’ and the Chinese character for tiger, the design also incorporates The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.
For additional peace of mind, the coin incorporates an authentication feature in the form of a micro-laser engraved letter. Detectable under a magnifying glass, it is designed to make it significantly more difficult for the coin to be counterfeited.
